Chinese New Year celebration set in UD's Mitchell Hall
1 p.m., Feb. 10, 2014--A Chinese New Year celebration marking the “Year of the Horse” will be held from 6:30-9 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, at Mitchell Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.
The event will feature traditional and modern Chinese New Year festivities, including songs, folk dances, instrumental performances and martial arts demonstrations.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.
June 6-9: Food and culture series
The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.
Tickets cost $5 per person, with a discount to $3 per person for group purchases of three or more.
The celebration is sponsored by the Chinese Students and Scholars Association and the Confucius Institute at UD.
