Feb. 18: Blood drive
Blood Bank of Delmarva to hold blood drive at Trabant University Center
2:08 p.m., Feb. 11, 2014--The Blood Bank of Delmarva will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the University of Delaware’s Trabant University Center.
“We are really grateful for our partnership with UD and all of the dedicated donors and staff that come out to give blood,” said Kelly Sakiewicz, school program coordinator for Blood Bank of Delmarva, who added that “this blood drive is coming at a really critical time for us. With the recent snowstorms our blood supplies are critically low. We have had schools and corporations that had to cancel drives and we have had center appointments canceled all due to the snow. So we are hoping to continue the track record of successful drives with UD to hopefully help bolster the blood supply right now.”
