WVUD announces 25th annual Java Time Christmas Special
12:54 p.m., Dec. 5, 2013--WVUD 91.3FM, the campus radio station of the University of Delaware, has announced that the 25th annual Java Time Christmas Special will air from 5-11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 23.
This morning show holiday extravaganza was launched in 1989 by current station manager Steve Kramarck with his broadcast partner Jonathan Anson while both were undergraduate students at UD.

June 6-9: Food and culture series
The initial show was an extension of the Jon and Steve in the Morning program.
The initial playlist contained mostly Christmas music, though subsequent years have broadened the program to air a variety of holiday tunes.
Listeners can expect to hear a combination of traditional winter holiday favorites, novelty recordings, and a wide range of selections rarely heard elsewhere on the air.
For many years, Kramarck presented this special as a one-man holiday show. The program recently expanded into a family affair with Kramarck’s children, Quinton and Jillian, serving as guest disc jockeys.
“As the kids have grown, some might say that dad has been relegated to a sidekick role,” Kramarck joked.
The first hour of this year’s program will feature holiday broadcasts from legends Jack Benny and Jean Shepherd, with music to follow for the remainder of the show.
Listeners can tune in at 91.3FM or online.
