UDress to announce launch of new Pinterest page

12:09 p.m., Sept. 24, 2012--The student-run UDress Magazine fashion publication at the University of Delaware will hold an event to announce the launch of its new Pinterest page from 12:30-2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Kiosk B in the Trabant University Center.

“Our UDress Pinterest profile acts as a visual representation of the lifestyle of a UDresser and inspiration for the magazine,” says Henley Cook, director of social media for UDress Magazine. “Pinterest is a great interactive resource for UDressers because it engages them with the magazine and also helps us to connect with our followers. 'Repinning' and 'liking' our pins not only helps us build our Pinterest boards, but it also helps us to know what's working and what's not."

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

At the event, students will have the chance to log on to the UDress Pinterest page and pin with the magazine, as well as explore our pins and picture postings. The UDress Pinterest page has already developed 12 boards, 618 pins, 181 likes and 78 followers since its initial launch. 

UDress Magazine is a student-run fashion publication founded in 2005 at UD. With more than 100 members coming from over 24 different majors, UDress provides a unique "real world" opportunity for students to apply their knowledge in the creation of a genuine fashion magazine.
