Guest artist recital to feature flutist Stillman at Roselle Center
12:54 p.m., Sept. 11, 2012--Guest artist Mimi Stillman, a renowned flute player, will perform at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Gore Recital Hall of the Roselle Center for the Arts on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.
Tickets are $12 for adults; $8 for UD faculty and staff, alumni and senior adults; and $3 for students. Call the Roselle Center for the Arts box office at 302-831-2204 to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets purchased at the door, if available, are cash or check only.

An internationally acclaimed flutist, Stillman has been hailed by the Washington Post as “a magically gifted flutist, a breath of fresh air,” and the Spartanburg Herald-Journal called her “a superstar in the modern classical music field.”
Stillman was, at 12, the youngest wind player ever admitted to the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied with Julius Baker and Jeffrey Khaner, and she was the youngest wind player ever to win the prestigious Young Concert Artists International Auditions.
Stillman and duo pianist Charles Abramovic recently released Odyssey: 11 American Premieres for Flue and Piano, a highly acclaimed two-CD set on Innova Recordings.
As artistic and executive director of Dolce Suono Ensemble, which she founded in 2005, Stillman has presided over its establishment as a highly regarded pioneering force in the music world.
