ABC's Walter to discuss media, presidential campaign
1:57 p.m., Sept. 14, 2012--Amy Walter, political director for ABC News, will be the featured speaker as the National Agenda series “Road to the Presidency” continues at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19, in Mitchell Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.
Walter’s presentation, on “The Media and the Campaign,” is free and open to the public.

As political director, Walter oversees all political coverage on ABCNews.com, including ABC’s daily political tip sheet The Note.
She also guides the planning and editorial content of all political news and provides on-air analysis on World News with Diane Sawyer, Good Morning America and Nightline.
She was the editor-in-chief of The Hotline, Washington’s premier daily briefing on American politics. Her analysis of the national political environment has earned her numerous accolades, including the Washington Post’s Crystal Ball Award.
Named one of the top 50 journalists by Washingtonian magazine, Walter was dubbed one of the most powerful people in politics in George magazine for her insights into the mechanics that make the political machine run.
