Stanley Weintraub to sign copies of new book on FDR
5:21 p.m., Sept. 26, 2012--Stanley Weintraub, an adjunct professor of English at the University of Delaware, will speak and sign copies of his new book, Final Victory: FDR's Remarkable World War II Presidential Campaign, at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Blue Hen Café area of the UD Bookstore, 83 East Main St., Newark.
The program is open to the public.

Kirkus Reviews called Final Victory "a well-drawn political history of FDR's last days," and Publishers Weekly called it "historically satisfying," adding "Weintraub’s book portrays a political icon determined to make his mark on America and the world in the twilight of his life.”
Weintraub, who is Evan Pugh Professor Emeritus of Arts and Humanities at Penn State University, is the author of several notable histories and biographies, including 11 Days in December, Silent Night: The Story of the World War I Christmas Truce, MacArthur's War, Long Day's Journey into War and A Stillness Heard Round the World: The End of the Great War.
