Mentoring leader featured speaker at UD Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration
10:42 a.m., Oct. 31, 2012--Susan L. Taylor, found of the National Cares Mentoring Movement and former editor-in-chief of Essence magazine, will be the featured speaker at the University of Delaware Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 29.
Taylor will share her inspirational story and her passion for empowering African Americans to mentor youth.

The event also includes the Universal African Dance and Drum Ensemble, a Soul Food Feast and a Center for Black Culture marketplace featuring crafts, jewelry and more.
The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center. The doors will open at 5:30.
The event is free for full-time UD students, $10 for UD faculty and staff (with a limit of two tickets) and $20 for the general public.
Tickets will be available from Nov. 2-26.
Student tickets are available only at the Center for Black Culture, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays.
