Oct. 11: UD Symphony Orchestra
UD Symphony Orchestra concert features Colombian guest artists
8:03 a.m., Oct. 9, 2012--The University of Delaware Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert that will feature two Colombian guest artists at 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, in Mitchell Hall.
Luis Guillermo Vicaría from Javeriana University in Bogota will be the guest conductor and internationally renowned Colombian percussion virtuoso Samuel Torres will perform.

The program will include Georges Bizet's Symphony in C, Samuel Torres' Cíclica for Strings, Congas and Cajón and Manuel de Falla's The Three Cornered Hat, Second Suite.
Tickets cost $12 for adults; $8 for UD faculty, staff and alumni and for senior adults; and $3 for students.
Advance tickets are available by calling the Roselle Center for the Arts Box Office at 302-831-2204. If tickets remain available at the door, sale will be by cash or check only.
