Interest meetings for Plastino Scholars Program set in Sharp Lab
3:38 p.m., Oct. 2, 2012--What’s your passion? If given a study grant to pursue a passionate interest in any subject, anywhere in the world, what would you do?
The Plastino Scholars Program established in 2007 by David Plastino, a University of Delaware alumnus who wanted to give students a learning opportunity of a lifetime allows students to answer these open-ended questions.

An interest meeting for undergraduate students considering the program will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m., in 100 Sharp Laboratory.
A second interest meeting will be held Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., also in 100 Sharp Laboratory.
The Plastino Scholars Program awards grants to undergraduate students that support self-designated, off-campus learning experiences.
At the meeting, students will have the opportunity to meet former scholars and learn about their Plastino “projects,” and receive information on how to apply.
Applications for the 2012 Plastino Scholars Program are due by Friday, Dec. 7.
