MelUDees to celebrate accomplishments at spring concert in Loudis
10:36 a.m., May 8, 2013--The MelUDees, an a cappella group at the University of Delaware, will hold a spring concert at 6 p.m., Sunday, May 12, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.
The concert, titled “A Year in the Life,” celebrates the group’s accomplishments in the 2012-13 academic year.

The group’s repertoire includes songs by Maroon 5, Gloriana, Beyoncé, Andy Grammer, David Guetta and more. The concert will also feature the “senior songs” of the group’s four seniors, Paige Fisher, Kim Lindell, Kameron Conforti and Bobby Schrader.
During the academic year, the MelUDees have served as the opening act for Martin Short’s performance at Parents and Family Weekend, performed at President Patrick Harker’s Christmas Party, traveled to Drexel University and Johns Hopkins University on their spring tour and competed in the quarterfinals of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella.
About the MelUDees
The MelUDees, a co-ed a cappella group at the University of Delaware, was founded in 2006 by Kate Galvin and Lara Goldstein. The two friends shared a passion for singing and started the group to give UD students more opportunity to participate in a cappella.
The MelUDees pride themselves on having fun while working hard. They have worked tirelessly to create a reputation of creativity and musical excellence while also forming strong, lifelong friendships.
