Serafin String Quartet to perform at Roselle Center for the Arts
10:34 a.m., March 6, 2013--The Serafin String Quartet will hold its annual quartet in residence concert, presented by the University of Delaware, at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 10, in the Gore Recital Hall of the Roselle Center for the Arts.
The repertoire features Beethoven's Op. 132, and the program spans a musical journey from "sunrise" to "sunset" in the works of Haydn and Respighi.

Beethoven's late quartet in A minor, Op. 132, chronicles his experience of recovery from an illness that took him to death's door. Listeners are invited to traverse the dramatic emotional landscape from dark to light, health to convalescence, and blossoming and fading.
Joining the quartet will be UD faculty artist Noël Archambeault, soprano.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for UD faculty, staff and alumni and senior adults, and $3 for students. Tickets can be purchased by cash or check at the door only.
