DHSA event to focus on careers, opportunities in global health education

2:59 p.m., Jan. 9, 2013--The Delaware Health Sciences Alliance will host a conference, “Global Health Education: Careers and Opportunities,” from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Thomas Jefferson University’s Dorrance H. Hamilton Building.

Speakers and panelists will highlight existing programs, career opportunities, and openings for involvement in global health. Students and DHSA learners are encouraged to participate in the poster session.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Abstracts are due Jan. 15 and may be submitted to dhsa-info@udel.edu.

Registration is now available on the website. Cost is $25 for non-DHSA attendees, $15 for DHSA faculty, and free for students with ID. Breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fee. Check the website for additional details.
