Georgetown's Dyson to speak at UD on 'Why You Should Vote'
7:55 a.m., Aug. 28, 2012--Michael Eric Dyson, who has been named one of the nation’s most influential African Americans by Ebony magazine, will speak Thursday, Sept. 27, at the University of Delaware on “Why You Should Vote.”
The talk, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Dyson is a professor of sociology at Georgetown University and the author of 16 books, including Debating Race and You Know What I Mean.
In his latest book, Can You Hear Me Now? The Inspiration, Wisdom and Insight of Michael Eric Dyson, he discusses topics of today, including race and the presidency.
Dyson has appeared on a number of television shows, including the O’Reilly Factor, the Tavis Smiley Show and Real Time with Bill Maher. He is also a guest host of The Ed Show on MSNBC.
