May 11 and 12: Sesame Street's 'Elmo's Super Heroes' at The Bob

4:24 p.m., April 26, 2013--Tickets are now on sale for Sesame Street Live's production of "Elmo's Super Heroes," coming to the University of Delaware Bob Carpenter Center on Saturday and Sunday, May 11-12.

When Super Grover loses his superness, Sesame Street need a hero. But never fear: Elmo and his team of super heroes are here. Teaching lessons of healthy habits through song and dance, Elmo, Abby Cadabby and other favorite Sesame Street friends explore exercise, nutrition, sleep/energy and hygiene -- all in a quest to put the "super" back in Super Grover.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Showtimes are 10:30 a.m. and 2 and 5:30 p.m. on May 11, and 1p.m. on May 12. (A show originally scheduled at 4:30 p.m., May 12, has been canceled.)
