Active Minds sets 'Keep Calm and Color On' on North Green

8:05 a.m., April 15, 2013--Active Minds, a mental health awareness and education group at the University of Delaware, will host “Keep Calm and Color On” from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, on the North Green.

The event is being held in conjunction with National Stress Out Day.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

“Being a student can be quite exhausting,” an Active Minds representative said, adding, “There are many ways to get rid of daily stresses. One is to clear your mind and calm down through expressive and intuitive painting.”

The organization will provide a large tarp and plenty of paint supplies for students to paint, or splatter paint, to their liking.
