
Oct. 22: Comedian Wyatt Cenac to perform in Trabant
Wyatt Cenac of 'The Daily Show' to perform free comedy show for UD students
9:55 a.m., Oct. 12, 2011--Comedian Wyatt Cenac, best known as a correspondent and writer for the Emmy Award-winning The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, will perform a free comedy show for UD students at 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22 in the Multipurpose Room of the Trabant University Center.
The show is rescheduled from the University’s 1743 Welcome Days, which were thwarted by Hurricane Irene. The event, originally intended for incoming freshmen, is now open to all UD students.

Tickets will be available for pick up from UD box offices starting at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 17. Students can each get one free ticket with his or her UD ID. Seating is general admission. Doors will open at 7 p.m. on the day of the show.
Cenac has been writing and corresponding for The Daily Show, a “fake news” program that airs weeknights on Comedy Central, since 2008. The show itself has won 16 Emmys and has received critical acclaim from comedy critics and news critics alike.
