College sets annual Ag Day event, UDairy Creamery opening
12:31 p.m., March 10, 2011--Ag Day is an annual tradition held by the University of Delaware's College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR). On Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors are encouraged to come interact with the agricultural world through hands-on educational exhibits and interactive demonstrations.
There will be great food, children’s activities, and live music. Also, CANR will celebrate the ribbon cutting for the UDairy Creamery, UD's new ice cream store and processing facility, making ice cream with the milk from the college's dairy cows.

Ag Day will be held at CANR’s Townsend Hall, located at 531 South College Avenue in Newark. Ag Day is organized by staff and students, with the support of more than 75 organizations. The money raised at Ag Day is geared toward giving back to student and community organizations.
Admission and parking for Ag Day are free and open to the public, with minimal charges for food, pony rides, and hayrides.
