HR mission & values

Human Resources aims to promote excellence, integrity and knowledge through delivery of our services to the University of Delaware. This enables us to attract, develop, reward and engage the institution’s most valuable asset—its people. To guide our work, we have developed four core values: Competence, Customer focus, Communication and Respect. Details are posted on our website.

Parental leave policy update

The UD Parental Leave Policy has been updated to include a new certification requirement. An employee seeking parental leave for pregnancy-related conditions or bonding leave after childbirth, adoption or foster care placement must submit certification substantiating the need. The policy applies to all benefited employees and runs concurrently with FMLA leave, where applicable. Review the policy.
