COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

On Sept. 9, 2021, President Biden issued Executive Order 14042 ("EO") mandating that federal contractors provide adequate COVID-19 safeguards for their workers. Follow up guidance issued by the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force on Sept. 24, 2021, clarified that all employees working on, or in connection with, covered federal contracts and subcontracts or in such workplaces must be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Dec. 8, 2021, unless they qualify for a disability or religious exemption.

Our thanks to the UD employees -- about 90% -- who are vaccinated and have already voluntarily provided documentation of their vaccination records.

If you have been vaccinated but have not submitted your documentation yet, you must upload your immunization record using the Human Resources site for vaccine documentation by Dec. 8. If you have not received the vaccine, you must do so soon to ensure that you are fully vaccinated by the deadline. More details are available at the Working at UD site.

Coming Soon: Flexible Spending Account Enrollment

Open enrollment for 2022 Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) will run Nov. 1-15. Eligible employees will be able to set aside pre-tax dollars to cover out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses. Prior participants must re-enroll. Plan ahead by considering your eligible expenses.
