UD Fall Covid Protocols

With the 2022-23 academic year set to begin later this month, UD continues to take the necessary steps to help protect the health and safety of everyone in our community. While campus measures implemented throughout the COVID-19 pandemic have enabled our community’s return to a more normal rhythm, the virus still has the potential to disrupt our campus experience, especially as more transmissible variants emerge. On Aug. 12, the University announced several protocols that will be in place for the fall semester. Read more.

Volunteers Needed for New Student Move In

The new academic year is rapidly approaching, and faculty, staff and student volunteers are needed to help new students move into residence halls on Saturday, Aug. 27.

Tuition Exchange Program Applications Open

Faculty and staff applications for the Tuition Exchange Program’s (TEP) 2023-24 academic year scholarships are open. Those interested in applying should do so through the Educational Benefits webform by Oct. 26, 2022. Learn more.

Managers’ Help Sought for Pilot Program

Human Resources is creating a new management development program to better meet the evolving needs of the campus. Emphasis will be placed on sharing UD-specific policies and procedures to equip managers with the business acumen and interpersonal communication skills to successfully lead their teams. The new program is scheduled to launch in early 2023. Managers at any level may learn more and indicate their interest in the pilot by completing a brief survey.

Introducing UD Capture +Zoom for Fall 2022

This fall UD Capture is being upgraded to include Zoom capability in certain central classrooms. Instructors scheduled in a UD Capture +Zoom-upgraded classroom can now have an integrated Zoom meeting for their class with all the equipment needed for a hybrid teaching environment. If your class is scheduled in one of the updated rooms, review this page before your first class and follow the important steps in the checklist.

NAMI DE Mental Health First Aid Training (Virtual)

New fall dates are open for virtual Mental Health First Aid Trainings on Sept. 29 and Nov. 1, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Acquire the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. This course is open to all UD employees in partnership with NAMI DE at no cost to you. Learn more and register.
