Coming soon: 2018 flexible spending enrollment

Open enrollment for 2018 Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) will run Nov. 1 through Nov. 15. Eligible employees will be able to set aside pre-tax dollars to cover out-of-pocket health care and day care expenses. Prior participants must re-enroll. Learn more and view eligible expenses.

UD retirement program transition

Updates to the UD Retirement Program continue with the launch of the new investment menu. Through Jan. 5, you can choose from a variety of investments, arranged in a multi-tier structure, and annuity options for future contributions, before the changes go live on Jan. 8, 2018. Learn more.

Additional TIAA educational sessions have been scheduled for the Newark, Lewes and Georgetown campuses. Learn about the 403b transition, including new features and options. No registration is required to attend. View the TIAA information session schedule.

Tuition exchange program

The application period for the UD Tuition Exchange Program scholarships will close on Oct. 25. Those interested in applying should do so through the Educational Benefits web form. (Select “BEN Education Benefits” in the menu).

Mid-year appraisals

Remember to revisit your performance goals and discuss progress with your manager. Use the calibration feature available to add or modify goals set during the annual appraisal process. Learn more.

Work-life

Employee assistance program

UD offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to provide work-life services to employees and their dependents enrolled in a non-Medicare state of Delaware health insurance plan. Human Management Services (HMS) A Health Advocate Company is the selected provider, offering numerous resources, ranging from financial, emotional, wellness and legal assistance. HMS is available for confidential help any time, at no cost. Learn more about the EAP and HMS. (Enter “State of Delaware” on the HMS home page to log in.)
