Beginning in 1997 an effort started to outfit all the
classrooms and teaching labs with projectors, VCRs, and a computer
workstation.
In this paper we discuss the process of procuring and maintaining the classrooms. We use a three tier level of support, Department Computer Officer's (DCOs) for organizational level support, Information Technologist (GoldCoats) for direct support and the Directorate of Information Management for general support. Computer systems that are used in the labs are in the fifth or sixth year of life cycle management. The computers log onto a single domain and a standard configuration is used to minimize support issues.
