Egyptian teachers

Special programs --
Partnership for Teaching

Fourteen EFL teachers from Egypt, eight from Jordan and eight from Morocco spent six weeks at the ELI this past summer exploring communicative methods, instructional technology and U.S. culture. In addition, teachers began practicing their roles as teacher trainers, which they are expected to fill once they return home. A capstone project will be the follow-on conference in each country to be entirely organized and implemented by the summer 2008 alumni. Designed and coordinated by Baerbel Schumacher, the P4T program is now in its fifth and final year, concluding with the Spring 2009 follow-on conferences.
