Professor Joel Rosenthal Earns Powe Award from Oak Ridge Associated Universities

Joel Rosenthal has been informed that he has won an 'ORAU Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award'. The competitive award provides $5,000 from ORAU and $5,000 in matching funding from the faculty member's university, for research by junior faculty at Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU). They are intended to enrich the research and professional growth of young faculty and result in new funding opportunities. Participating universities, of which there are 98, may submit only two recommendations for its promising young faculty. Joel came to UD in fall 2010 from MIT where he was a NIH Postdoctoral Fellow. He is one of (waiting for number from HR) newly hired faculty hired by UD in 2010 as part of the Universities strategic planning and goal to the path for prominence.
