The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry invites applications for the position of assistant professor with a research focus in environmental chemistry and the ability to teach a subspecialty of chemistry at all levels. This tenure-track appointment will commence September 1, 2012. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching and is expected to establish an externally funded and highly visible research program that complements current research activities at the University. This position reflects a university wide environmental initiative that encompasses the Delaware Environmental Institute (http://denin.udel.edu) and enhanced research facilities (http://www.udel.edu/iselab/). Applicants are desired who engage in fundamental research and also collaborate across disciplines to address important environmental problems.
