Set up your computer securely
You need to be sure that your computer has the following tools
properly installed:

Make sure your computer's firewall software is turned on.

Make sure your computer has current anti-virus protection.
-
Make sure your computer has current anti-spyware protection.
-
Make sure your computer is configured to receive updates to its
operating system automatically.

- Not Sure Which Operating System Version Your Computer Has?
- Windows Computers:
Right-click on the My Computer icon and select
Properties. The version of the operating system will be
specified on the
General tab under System.
- Macintosh Computers: From the "Apple" menu (select
the Apple icon), select About this Mac.
