Programs

Asthma Education
Two programs are available for children with asthma based upon age.

Nutrition
Children will examine a variety of food items and sort them based on their benefits for growing and staying healthy.

Exercise
Children will identify various ways to exercise (running, swimming, raking leaves, walking the dog) and discuss the valuable benefits of regular exercise for maintaining a healthy body.

Immunization
Up-to-date information about immunizations will be provided.

Health Promotion & Illness & Injury Prevention
Children will learn how childhood injuries and illnesses can be prevented or avoided by practicing healthy behaviors (wearing a bicycle helmet, swimming only with an adult present, not coughing or sneezing on others, and handwashing).

Additional Services
Additional programs are currently being developed and your input is key. Program suggestions cane be dropped off at the Early Learning Center reception desk or emailed to askanurse@udel.edu.

In addition to the educational programs provided, nurses will be available for general health and wellness questions. They can be reached at (302) 831-8364 or use our Ask A Nurse form.
