In a partnership that has been described by Delaware Gov. Jack Markell as “an amazing marriage between a world-class employer and our world-class university,” UD has teamed up with JPMorgan Chase to give students the opportunity to develop solutions for real-world problems.
In 2009, JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) and UD established a partnership to collaborate on research projects and recruit talented students with an interest in technology. In 2011, JPMC and the University opened the JPMorgan Chase Innovation Center, a research facility at UD’s main campus in Newark. The Innovation Center has now quadrupled its original size, spanning 13,000 square feet and four stories in a new addition to Purnell Hall.
