The University of Delaware Messenger

Nearly a century ago, the University began reaching out to alumni and friends through a publication called the Alumni News. From its first issue in 1915, the News was published only occasionally and under different titles until a more regular schedule and name, the University News, took effect in 1935. That publication later became the Blue Hen Messenger and, in the 1991-92 academic year, the UD Messenger. This latest version of the magazine has changed size and circulation in the past two decades, but it is now celebrating its 20th volume year.
