9:01 a.m., Sept. 16, 2015--Stuart J. Kaufman, professor of political science and international relations at the University of Delaware, will mark the release of his new work Nationalist Passions with a book signing event at 5:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 21, at the UD Barnes and Noble Bookstore on Main Street.

Nationalist Passions explores why some countries, like Rwanda, explode into horrible ethnic violence, while others, like South Africa, manage to reach peaceful settlements.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Everyone is invited to hear some interesting stories, ask questions and purchase a signed copy.
