University club tennis team sets 'Serving for the Cure' tournament

1:45 p.m., Oct. 20, 2015--The University of Delaware club tennis team has announced that its inaugural “Serving for the Cure” tennis tournament will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 25, on the South Campus courts.

Donation is $10 for students and $20 for campus community members.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

• Through Sept. 16: Women of color in academia

All proceeds will go toward the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, which battles childhood cancer. 

In addition to tennis, participants will be able to enjoy food from Chipotle and several other Main Street restaurants. There will also be raffles to win gift baskets with gift cards and products from stores and restaurants in Newark. 

Those participating in the tournament will receive a custom T-shirt, as well.
