Shafi to discuss 'God Particle' in Science Cafe presentation
11:25 a.m., Nov. 30, 2015--The Science Café program will return to the Deer Park Tavern with “The God Particle,” a talk by Qaisar Shafi of the University of Delaware’s Department of Physics and Astronomy, at 5:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 7.
Shafi, the Bartol Research Institute Professor of Physics at UD, will speak upstairs at the Deer Park Tavern, located at 108 W. Main St., Newark.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.
June 6-9: Food and culture series
The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.
His presentation will discuss the nature of the elusive Higgs Boson particle and the 50 years of experimentation that has gone toward finding it.
Science Café is free and open to the public. Food and refreshments will be served.
