UD Synchronized Skating Team wins gold in Eastern sectional championships
11:29 a.m., Feb. 1, 2016--The University of Delaware's Synchronized Skating Team took gold at the 2016 U.S. Eastern sectional championships held Jan. 28-30 in Richmond, Virginia.
The Blue Hens came out on top with a score of 77.14. Other contenders for the title were the Metroettes from Boston and teams from Boston University, the University of Massachusetts and the University of Maryland.

The One Love Foundation has announced that University of Delaware men's lacrosse standout Elijah Conte has been selected as a winner of the 2016 YRL Unsung Hero Award.
Skating to selections from the hit movie Dirty Dancing, the UD team performed a clean and exciting program to earn its 17th Eastern sectional title, a representative of the organization said.
