In keeping with this year’s national theme of “Sparking Aha Moments,” the UD initiative affords children of faculty and staff members the opportunity to explore their career options while empowering them to dream and imagine all the possibilities that they have in front of them.
A variety of group activities will be offered between 2-4 p.m., allowing children ages 8-18 to accompany their parents/guardians during the work day and to participate with them in one or more group activities.
The program includes lunch and ice cream vouchers that can be used during the day for the Rodney Dining Fresh Food Company and UDairy Creamery. All registered children will receive a complimentary T-shirt.
Participation is voluntary and at the discretion of the employee’s supervisor.
Activities offered this year include a campus tour and planet walk, as well as visiting and meeting representatives from UD Police, the College of Health Sciences, the College of Engineering, and Athletics and Recreation Services.
Cost of the program is $5 for parent/guardian and $5 for each child. A check made out to the University of Delaware for the full amount should be sent to Human Resources, 413 Academy Street, Newark, DE 19716, by Thursday, April 14.
