Comcast on Campus: No TV, no problem
XFINITY on Campus now available in University housing
11:25 a.m., Sept. 8, 2014--Residence Life and Housing has announced that, together with Comcast, the University of Delaware has officially launched the XFINITY on Campus television service.
In addition to Comcast’s linear cable connection service in rooms, residence hall students have access to the XFINITY on Campus app and can view live high definition television from their laptop computers, tablets and smart phones using an easy-to-navigate interactive guide while connected anywhere on the campus network.

There is no additional cost for the streaming service for students who live in the residence halls.
This service also includes XFINITY on Demand and offers students in University residence halls the ability to optionally purchase subscriptions to premium content like HBO, Starz, and the Sports and Entertainment Tier, which includes networks such as NFL RedZone.
The new XFINITY on Campus service is available to all residents in campus housing. Comcast representatives will be available on the patio at James Smith and Thomas McKean Halls on Monday, Sept. 8, through Thursday, Sept. 11, to demonstrate and answer questions about XFINITY on Campus with raffles and giveaways including premium headphones and speakers.
Comcast representatives will be sponsoring and assisting students at the following events:
- Monday, Sept. 8 – Monday Night Football in the Louis Redding Hall Lounge.
- Tuesday, Sept. 9 – Music, games and prizes from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Laird Campus.
- Thursday, Sept. 11 – Starz 22 Jump Street screening at the Trabant University Center Theatre at 6 p.m., first come, first served (holds 288).
UD residence hall students can begin using XFINITY on Campus immediately by following the instructions provided below:
1. Visit xfinityoncampus.com and sign in with UD credentials and follow the remaining instructions.
