In his talk, Dolmage will investigate the ways that rhetorics (and connected technologies) of eugenics and immigration restriction opportunistically established new categories and schemes of race and disability at North American borders in the early part of the 20th century.
Dolmage is editor of the Canadian Journal of Disability Studies and author of the book Disability Rhetoric.
A reception will follow in the dome on the third floor of Memorial Hall.
