Through Sept. 24: 'History of U.S. Constitution'
University Library exhibition celebrates history of U.S. Constitution
3:08 p.m., Sept. 16, 2014--The University of Delaware Library will celebrate Constitution Day on Wednesday, Sept. 17, with a small exhibition titled “Celebrating the History of the U.S. Constitution” located in the single case in the Information Room on the first floor of the Morris Library.
“Celebrating the History of the U.S. Constitution” will be on view through Wednesday, Sept. 24, and will showcase items from the Thomas R. Carper congressional papers including the Congressman’s remarks on the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution in 1989. Carper’s remarks were originally published in his constituent newsletter, Capitol Comments.

Tammi Kim, assistant librarian in the Manuscripts and Archives Department of the University of Delaware Library, is the curator of the exhibition.

Holdings of Special Collections of the University of Delaware Library include books, manuscripts, maps, prints, photographs, broadsides, periodicals, pamphlets, ephemera and realia from the 15th to the 21st century.
The collections complement the library's general collections with particular strengths in the subject areas of the arts; English, Irish and American literature; history and Delawareana; horticulture; and history of science and technology.
Special Collections is located on the second floor of the Morris Library.
