UD Symphony Orchestra to present Concerto Competition Winners' Concert
10:20 a.m., March 19, 2015--The University of Delaware Symphony Orchestra will hold its annual Concerto Competition Winners’ Concert at 8 p.m., Thursday, March 26, in Mitchell Hall.
The concert features Tae Ho Hwang, saxophone, performing Glazunov's Saxophone Concerto; Rachel Meyner, flute, performing Mercadante's Concerto in E Minor, Allegro Maestoso; and Duoli Sun, violin, performing Sibelius' Violin Concerto, Allegro Moderato.

The program also includes Mendelssohn's Overture to Ruy Blas and Stravinsky's Firebird Suite.
James Allen Anderson, assistant professor of music, is director of the UD Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets cost $15 for the general public; $10 for UD faculty, staff and alumni and senior adults; and $5 for students. Advance tickets will be available through the REP box office and, if available, tickets at the door will be by cash or check only.
