The process of exchanging the old iCard for a new ONEcard has been working well over the last few weeks, a representative of the office said, adding that it takes less than one minute for most people to complete the exchange, and lines have been very minimal.
Many students have reported that they find it easier to “tap-and-go” with their new ONEcard at the Carpenter Sports Building (Little Bob) fitness center turnstiles, and the office also has heard from many parking patrons who find it more convenient to “tap-and-go” at parking gate readers instead of having to swipe.
More contactless applications will be coming online soon and members of the campus community are encouraged to keep an eye on the ONEcard website for more information and announcements.
Those who received an email from the office with a recommended appointment time are welcome to come to the ONEcard stations in the Student Services Building lobby at any time. It is not necessary to wait for the appointment time.
Those who have already missed their recommended appointment time are encouraged to come in to the ONEcard stations at any time. They do not need to contact the office to reschedule.
The office is open 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with evening hours until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Parking spots are available by the rear entrance of the Student Services Building, limited to 15 minutes.
As a reminder, any services or accesses on an individual’s old card will transfer automatically to their new ONEcard. Dining meal plans, FLEX, parking, gym access and most other services are immediately updated on the new card. Electronic door access will transfer to the new ONEcard within one business day.
The ID Card Office is located in the Student Services Building on Lovett Avenue, and can be reached at 302-831-CARD (2273). For more information, visit the website.
