University of Delaware Library offers funding workshops in April
11:37 a.m., March 23, 2015--The University of Delaware Library will present two workshops on research funding in April. Both workshops are co-sponsored by the University of Delaware Research Office.
“Research Funding Online” will focus on three library databases -- Foundation Directory Online, Foundation Grants to Individuals Online and COS Pivot -- which faculty, staff and graduate students can use to identify potential funding resources such as grants from private foundations, corporations and government agencies.

The workshop will cover strategies for searching the databases, procedures for using alerting services and locating additional grant information on the Internet.
“Grants for Non-Profit Agencies” will cover strategies which faculty, staff, graduate students and the public can use to identify potential funding resources, such as grants from private foundations, corporations and public charities.

“Research Funding Online” will be offered on Thursday, April 16, from 10 a.m.-noon, in the Library Instruction Room (116A) on the first floor of the Morris Library. Presenters will be Carol Rudisell, librarian, Reference and Instructional Services Department, and Michael Gutierrez, associate librarian, Reference and Instructional Services Department.
“Grants for Nonprofit Agencies” will be offered on Wednesday, April 29, from 11 a.m.-noon, in the Class of 1941 Lecture Room on the first floor of the Morris Library. Rudisell will be the presenter.
These workshops are available at no charge and are open to University of Delaware faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available at this website.
