Campus community invited to Hot Chocolate Festival at Trabant

1:31 p.m., Jan. 7, 2015--All members of the University of Delaware community are invited to attend the Hot Chocolate Festival, scheduled for 1-5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, in the food court of the Trabant University Center. 

Attendees are welcome to enjoy four varieties of hot chocolate, a decadent dessert bar and more than a dozen toppings including classic favorites such as marshmallows and whipped cream as well as toffee, peanut butter cups, strawberry syrup and more.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Campus radio station 91.3FM WVUD will broadcast live from the festival, while the Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB) and Chocolate Club will be present with games and giveaways.

Students are encouraged to submit their best hot chocolate concoction in the custom creation competition; judging will commence at 3 p.m. and $500 in gift cards to local businesses will be awarded.
