Custom T-shirts and more
University Printing now offers custom printing on garments
3:05 p.m., Jan. 20, 2015--University Printing (UP) now has a direct-to-garment printer that enables the department to create custom T-shirts and sweat shirts here on the University of Delaware Newark campus.
With competitive pricing, lower initial setup charges, no freight charges and super-fast turnaround times, UD’s UP provides faculty, students and staff a viable alternative to third party vendors. In fact, printed proof shirts can be ready in one to two days, and entire orders can be completed in a week, depending on the size of the order.

According to Rodney Brown, manager of University Printing, this printer can accommodate full color photos, line copy and artwork in one color or full color, printing on the front, back or both, and can be used with a variety of shirt styles including T-shirts, polos and sweat shirts.
In order to expedite orders, files should be sent to UP in either a vector EPS (preferred), a PNG or a JPEG format. Artwork should be RGB, not CMYK.
In addition, UP can also provide large format printing on various materials for signs, banners and wall graphics.
Brown said UP will be continuing to expand its product offerings to better serve the UD community.
