Curator McGee to present Perspective talk on 'Forget Me Not' exhibition
10:06 a.m., Feb. 16, 2015--The University of Delaware’s Julie L. McGee, University Museums curator of African American art, will present a Perspective series talk on the exhibition “Forget Me Not: Photography Between Poetry and Politics” from 12:30-1:15 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 18, in the Mechanical Hall Gallery.
The photographic works in “Forget Me Not” are drawn from the University Museums’ African American art collection.

From the late 19th-century portraits taken by Augustus Washington and Gallo W. Cheston to P.H. Polk’s photographs of the Tuskegee Airmen, “Forget Me Not” commemorates individual, communal and national narratives.
