University of Delaware Ice Arenas to host holiday skating sessions

9:39 a.m., Dec. 16, 2014--The University of Delaware Ice Arenas will host holiday skating sessions beginning Wednesday, Dec. 24, and continuing through Friday, Jan. 2.

The Fred Rust Ice Arena will be decorated for the holidays with more than 1,000 lights and its ice painted as a winter wonderland.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

• Through Sept. 16: Women of color in academia

There will be special prizes and giveaways during the holiday skating sessions.

• Dec. 26, 1-3:15 p.m., 4:30-6:30 p.m. and 7:30-9:30 p.m.
• Dec. 27, 1-3:15 p.m., 4:30-6:30 p.m. and 7:30-9:30 p.m.
• Dec. 28, 1-3:15 p.m., 4:30-6:30 p.m. and 7:30-9:30 p.m.
• Dec. 29, 1-3:15 p.m., 4:30-6:30 p.m. and 7:30-9:30 p.m.
• Dec. 30, 1-3:15 p.m., 4:30-6:30 p.m. and 7:30-9:30 p.m.
• Dec. 31, 1-3:15 p.m.
• Jan. 1, 1-4 p.m.
