Horn Program in Entrepreneurship sets pitch competition
1:13 p.m., Oct. 31, 2013--In collaboration with the University of Delaware Horn Program in Entrepreneurship, the Entrepreneurship Club (E-Club) will hold a fall semester pitch competition.
“Pitch Party” is a fast-paced competition designed to bring together the best entrepreneurial ideas all UD students have to offer.

“Every great idea should be given the opportunity to shine,” said Ben Rapkin, president of the E-Club. “Our event aims to provide UD students with exactly that: a way to start making their dream a reality.
The competition, which will occur on Friday, Nov. 15, in the Alfred Lerner Hall Atrium, will be presented in battle-style elimination, designed to determine an ultimate winner.
Contestants will be given 60 seconds to deliver their business ideas to a live audience and panel of judges. The winner will be awarded $1,000 in Venture Development Center cash that can be used toward the development of their business.
Students interested in participating may register by submitting a short description of their idea on the E-Club’s Student Central web page. Registration will end at midnight on Nov. 13.
