Blue Hen Helpers assist new students and families move their luggage and other belongings into their residence hall rooms on new student check-in day.

The Blue Hen Helpers are the first to extend a warm welcome to new students and their families and begin to build the strong and positive community that enhances every student’s living and learning experience.

Helpers can be students, staff, faculty, alumni, or community members.

Those students who are living on campus who want to volunteer can move into their residence halls early on Aug. 22 from 5-9 p.m. and receive a discounted rate on their early check-in fee. Blue Hen Helpers will only pay $25.

This year, Residence Life and Housing will be offering an opportunity for groups of four or more to sign up together in addition to the individual registration.
