
March 11: 'Redefinition of Identity'
Haven to present bisexual artist, activist Magdalen Hsu-Li at Trabant Theatre
1:36 p.m., March 5, 2014--Haven, the University of Delaware's only LGBTQ registered student organization, will host a free presentation and performance by bisexual singer, painter and cultural activist Magdalen Hsu-Li at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, in the Trabant University Center Theatre.
Hsu-Li will be discussing her lecture “The Redefinition of Identity,” which explores her search for cultural identity as an artist in an industry where Asian women are not thought of as musical powerhouses or innovators.

The lecture will be accompanied by her “Smashing the Ceiling” concert performance.
Hsu-Li describes her music as "pop rock alt folk singer songwriter music with a tinge of country, jazz, and punk."
