Vita Nova restaurant now accepting reservations for fall semester

10:52 a.m., Aug. 9, 2013--Vita Nova, the University of Delaware’s student-run restaurant, is accepting dining reservations for the fall semester.

The restaurant, located on the second floor of the Trabant University Center and staffed by students in the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management, will open for lunch on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and for dinner on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

Doctoral hooding

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

The students offer an award-winning lunch buffet from 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, and elegant four-course dining from 5:30 p.m., Wednesday through Friday. Reservations are recommended.

For those guests looking for more casual fare, the Darden Bistro, also located on the second floor of the Trabant University Center, offers a three-course theatre menu, a tapas style small plate menu, custom cocktails and an extensive wine selection. The Darden Bistro is open from 5:30 p.m., Wednesday through Friday.
