3:11 p.m., Oct. 24, 2012--DIGSAU, the architecture firm that designed the University of Delaware Bookstore, was recently recognized at the AIA Philadelphia 2012 Awards for Design Excellence event.
At a ceremony held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, DIGSAU was presented with a Merit Award for the building that houses the University of Delaware Bookstore and UD’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations.

President Barack Obama recently presented the National Medal of Science to University of Delaware alumnus Rakesh Jain.
Warren Award
Rosalind Johnson, assistant dean for student success in the NUCLEUS Program in UD's College of Arts and Sciences, was presented the John Warren Excellence in Leadership and Service Award during a May 26 ceremony.
The bookstore’s design, which one judge called “a unique redefinition of the normal retail experience,” was selected for the award out of hundreds of submissions from around the world.
DIGSAU’s design came to fruition when the UD bookstore opened for business in August 2011.
